PEACE, I was sitting here thinking about my childhood life. Thinking about What was I told about being a beauty and
natural. How would I be dressed when I heard I was pretty ect. Most of the time my mom would tell me to be sexy and show some leg This was told to me when I was as young as 12years old. Never wanted to ware make-up for me it looked like clown make-up and it often made africans queens look like white woman. My Mom would say put on some lip stick you look to plan growing into a woman I took all of this with me that I had to have long hair and fake nails to be seen as pretty by a black man. I don’t recall her saying be yourself be pretty for yourself. Love u never not once from my mom, My mom once said after buy over $300.00 in make -up She looked at my dad and said “I’ve never been this pertty before I was real ugly now I look like myself “, Which I might add they made her up in the mall so she could see how she was not pretty without their bag of lies. As a woman reaching near 40 I never think Im not pretty or fly I don’t really ware make-up and Im not big on wigs,weaves and anything fake to make me look other then myself. I share this moment in my life for us to think on what we teach and tell our girls about their self and how we feel about ourself being a beauty and

Im from New Jersey I attended the great NSIFA of Newark NJ and Collins College I’ve been tought by some of the greatest Artist Newark Has to offer such as Hasan Love ,Kevin Sampson,Kortez Robinson just to name a few.I have worked in Fashion,music,and a little in Graphic Design and Im known for my raggy baggy bag style handbag and my well made copper jewelry. I make art from what some would call trash. Its called upcycling and it has been a blessing to me and my family.
